Today he hit me but he apologized so I know he won't do it again.
Today he spoke down to me but thats not that bad, I was wrong anyway.
Today he kicked me so today was just a regular day.
Tomorrow he will change is what I often say.
Please change him Lord is the prayer I often pray.
Today I thought of moving out, but instead I decided to stay.

Yes Empress, physical abuse is a real issue, nicely put, constantly hoping for a change is never the way out.
